Best Consultants in Mauritius in 2026: The Oldest, Largest and Most Established Firms

Eleven consulting and advisory firms in Mauritius compared by the mandate they are built to serve, with verified founding years, the oldest firm on the island, and an honest note on where each one is the wrong choice.

The oldest firms in Mauritius, and why age is a real signal here

  • 1899 Rogers & Company Limited founded by Walter Rogers; today the parent of Rogers Capital.
  • 1952 De Chazal Du Mée (DCDM) founded as chartered accountants; now BDO Mauritius.
  • 1984 PwC established in Mauritius.
  • 1985 KPMG established in Mauritius.
  • 1994 Anex Management Services founded.
  • 1999 Grant Thornton Mauritius established.
  • 2015 The practice now trading as Forvis Mazars in Mauritius opened as TK Uday with ten people and joined the network the same year.
  • 2019 B Hub Consulting founded in Mauritius.
  • Not published Deloitte Mauritius (through Kemp Chatteris) and EY Mauritius do not publish a local founding year we could verify.

How we evaluated the firms

  • Mandate fit: which of the four jobs the firm genuinely does, rather than lists on a services page.
  • Who turns up: whether the person who wins the work is the person who does it. In a market this small, seniority of the actual working team is the single largest quality variable.
  • Cross-jurisdictional reach: whether the firm can hold a problem that crosses Mauritius, an African or Gulf jurisdiction, and an investor domicile at the same time.
  • Independence and conflicts: an auditor cannot advise on everything it audits. For some mandates the Big Four are structurally excluded, and that is a feature of the system rather than a criticism.
  • Delivery capability: whether advice ends at a recommendation or continues into something that has to work in production.

The 11 firms at a glance

Ordered by mandate type, not by size or age. Founding years as published by each firm as of September 2026. "Not published" means we could not verify a local founding year from a primary source, so we do not state one.

1. B Hub Consulting: best for principal-led, cross-jurisdictional mandates

2. BDO Mauritius: the oldest professional services firm on the island

3. Rogers Capital: the oldest institution, in advisory form

4 to 7. The Big Four in Mauritius: PwC, KPMG, Deloitte and EY

8. Grant Thornton Mauritius: mid-tier with partner access

9. Forvis Mazars in Mauritius: the fastest-grown mid-tier practice

10. Perigeum Capital: the transaction house

11. Anex Management Services: fiduciary and administration

What a "top consultants" list will not tell you

  1. 01Ask who does the work, by name, in writing. Then ask what else those named people are staffed on for the duration. In a market with a finite senior bench, this single question separates the pitch from the delivery.
  2. 02Check the conflict position before the proposal, not after. If a firm audits your counterparty, its lender or your joint venture partner, find out at the start. Discovering it mid-mandate is expensive.
  3. 03Insist the recommendation names its own failure conditions. Advice that cannot be wrong cannot be tested. A report that specifies what would have to be true for it to fail is worth several that do not.
